About us
Munkagårdsgymnasiet is a green college located in Tvååker, Halland, Sweden. We offer a variety of programs within the field of natural resource management, including animal care, agriculture, nature tourism, forestry, and horticulture.
Founded in 1984, Munkagårdsgymnasiet initially focused on horticulture but has since expanded to include a broader range of studies within natural resources management. We value a hands-on learning approach, providing students with practical experience in their chosen fields. The school is operated by the County Council, and the responsible authority for Munkagård is Region Halland.

The forestry program focus on the management and conservation of forest ecosystems. Students learn about forest ecology, silviculture, and forest operations. The practical education takes place both in the school’s own forest and through projects conducted for forest owners.
